At least half of the Brazilian software and service companies participating in the multi-sector delegation that visited Japan are evaluating draft agreements with Japanese companies that should be signed off in the next 45 days.
The Brazilian delegation returned on April 28 and was comprised of 7COMM, BRASSCOM, Ci&T, Daitan Labs, eSafeTransfer, I4PRO, Malisoft, Ne3tCallCenter and Voice Technology.
This is the initial assessment of the mission that lasted from the 22nd to the 27th and generated several contacts with Japanese companies. Japan is one of the principal economies in the world and one of the most interesting markets for exporting countries; it was targeted for a special event organized by the São Paulo Federation of Industries (FIESP) and by the Office of Development for the State of São Paulo, with support form Softex, Apex-Brasil and the Brazilian Embassy in Tokyo.
According to Softex, the Japanese companies were interested in continuing the negotiations and the event made it evident that Brazil is becoming better known as a supplier of IT services and products. The president of the Japanese company Rococo, Mr. Kazuhiko Hasegawa, made a very favorable declaration about Brazil based on his business experiences in China, India, Russia and Belarus.
The business rounds ensured full schedules for the Brazilian companies, thanks to the relationship network that was created through information in the Embassy?s site and to contacts made by Softex before the event.
Around 30% of the visitors to the business rounds were end-users and 70% were Japanese companies in search of IT solutions for their clients. This allowed some of the Brazilian companies to take important steps towards establishing partnerships and developing relationships with the end client.
